Painting again

I really enjoyed making the abstracts for my ALAW alphabet. It seems a long time since I painted anything. I seem to do much more drawing these days. So I decided to play a bit more using my photos and sketches of French mausoleums as source material.

Earlier this week I received a zine, ‘Guess who’s not cooking dinner?’, from Helen Malone. It’s a companion piece to ‘Guess who’s coming for dinner?’.  It has made me think more about exploring ideas through zines.

There aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything. I wonder if I can combine zines, paintings and French cemeteries in one project.

  1. That sounds like a great project Jac and an efficient use of time. Love your drawings of the French mausoleums - I'd like to see what you end up doing with these. Thanks also for the mention about the zine.

  2. I think a zine like that would be brilliant! Its always good when one project leads you to another idea or another way of doing something and then onwards to something else entirely! Enjoy.
