I initially thought I’d make it circular but without a front
and back cover (so you can just go round and round) but this means you can’t have the corners
of the rooms and streets all open at 90 degrees at the same time. I’ve been playing at placing the folded sheets
together in different combinations but these are more difficult to fold down
into one structure.
Think I’ll start the painting for the separate pages and
work the rest out as I go along.
Jac, If you fold a square in four and cut one of the quarters out, folding the remaining bottom one on the diagonal and then sticking it to the top left you can make a hinged box affair that can open to a 3D room. If you use no more than four of these structures they can all be open at the same time showing your architecture. I'm sure you'll find the best way forward whatever you do. It intrigues me and I love reading about the thinking process.

And then Lesley's comment did my brain in because it is late here and I got lost on the folds; but I am sure like her, that your explorations will find you the right solution.
